The old Tremec 3550 Transmissions are now designated as TKO 500 and TKO 600.
The entire line of Tremec 3550 units, including TKO and GM configurations, has changed. The basic design and dimensional specs are the same, but part numbers, torque ratings, applications, and pricing are all changing.
Standard Transmission & Gear now offers a limited labor warranty!

ST&G is an authorized dealer of the TKO 500 TKO 600 high performance transmission. It has the same bolt patterns, depending on model, as Ford’s top loader 4-speed or the GM Muncie transmission, and can be used in many various applications. Kit cars, old hot rods, and many OEM replacements are typical examples. You can lower your engine rpm in overdrive (5th gear) by as much as 36% with these units!
We are the only factory authorized service center in North Texas!

We can usually rebuild your transmission for less than exchanging it. All of our new and rebuilt transmissions carry a 12mo/12,000 mile warranty. Send us your transmission, transfer case, or differential & we'll disassemble, clean & inspect it. Next, we'll contact you with an exact price to repair the unit, including all parts and labor. After you approve the work, we can usually complete the repairs in 3-4 business days.
